Critically Orthodox?

I'm critical (just ask anyone who knows me!) and I'm Orthodox.

But this is not for me.

There was a time when I might have been curious enough to consider visiting such a place, just to see what was going on. I'm afraid those days are gone.

Maybe this is directed at some other kind of critically orthodox person.

I'll join you on the critical and Orthodox bench, but not at the onference.

You won't be joining me - remember, I seem to have lost my curiosity about this sort of thing.
(But it's not a conference - it's a church).

What?! It looks like a Lutheran "place" with the over-abundance of Albrecht Durer art and the fine Luther Rose on the scroll bar...
*sigh*

I'm going to have to learn to not be so curious either.

One thing it is NOT is Orthodox!

No kidding - and it doesn't even take an Orthodox Christian to see that, I guess.

Aaaaahhhh! That was my thought at visiting the site. And it's in my neighborhood! I'm amazed that they use the words "orthodox" and "jazz liturgy" and think that they go together.

Hi Resa! (I've lurked at your blog a bit in the last year or so - welcome!)

This place is actually near both where I live and where I work, and a friend invited me to come along on a visit - a visit to satisfy her curiosity. I'd heard about it and was sort of curious (translated cynical and suspicious), but after visiting hte website, I decided I wasn't that curious.

Eeep, I didn't even gather that it was a church and not a conference (or onference, even :) )

Sorry!
